BAUNATAL, GERMANY – Professional Canadian Striker Tristan Watson transfers to KSV Baunatal in Germany

After spending the 2nd half of the 2013-14 season in Bayern with ASV Neumarkt, Canadian striker Tristan Watson signed this summer with Regionalliga club KSV Baunatal of the Regionalliga Süd. Watson was entertained by several Regionalliga clubs including SV Seligenporten and FC Memmingen before coming to terms with Baunatal. With a busy pre-season schedule including a fixture against 3. Bundesliga club Rot-Weiss Erfurt, Baunatal entered the 2014-15 season with new hope and confidence.

Watson started the first three fixtures, with a victory in their third match against TuS Koblenz. Late in the first half, Watson suffered a serious ankle ligament injury, which has put him out for 4-6 weeks. Baunatal has struggled up top without their imposing Canadian striker, netting no goals in the past three matches. In 3 weeks, Bauantal takes on local rival in a derby match against KSV Hessen Kassel, which attracted around 8000 spectators last season.
