FÜRTH, GERMANY – PRO YEAR IFX GERMANY

After a week on trial with top Bavarian club SG Quelle Fürth, Sebastian Vallejo, an 18 year old defender from North Carolina, and Cesar Moore, an 18 year old defender from Vermont, were both offered a position to compete with the U19s for the 2012-13 season. Quelle, a respected semi-professional club in the Nürnberg region, fields some of the top youth teams in Nürnberg/Fürth region, and collaborates closely with both local Bundesliga clubs FC Nürnberg and Greuther Fürth with player development. Vallejo impressed Quelle Head Trainer Stefan Shoeber immediately with his solid technical ability and defensive intensity. Shoeber, former U19 trainer for Bundesliga club 1860 München commented, “Both boys will be good additions to our team. It will take some time for them to learn the German style and system, but they have quickly shown that they can compete at this tough level in the Bayernliga.” Moore will be playing left back for Quelle and has also integrated well into the fast paced German environment.
